Hi all, I have a bingham squires m16-22. Nice little gun, but it keeps jamming and double firing on it. Im not a gun pro (yet) as i just got into guns about 3 months ago and haven't really gone shooting or tinkering much. Is there any way to fix this problem (the easier the better) or is it a parts problem with the mag? If Anyone can help answer this, i would greatly appreciate it

First thing I would suggest is taking it apart and cleaning it. This will be a learning experience. Make sure the firing pin is intact.

Doubling is usually a sign that either too much filth has built up, preventing the trigger mechanism (or part of it) from working, or that there there is enough wear that the trigger is not able to reliably function as it is supposed to.

.22's are dirty, semi autos, even dirtier, and guns like the squibmans tend to get bought to run clips at a time off down range, so they tend to accumulate a lot of residue inside the action.

A good stripdown and cleaning is a start, you don't need anything fancy, just a couple clean(ish) cloths or even a roll of paper towels, an an old newspaper to work on to keep the oil off the rest of your stuff.

Dig around online, and you should be able to find a parts diagram if you don't have one, but it should not be a requirement.

Look for build-ups of mung and look for rounded off edges while you are cleaning each of the small parts.

A little dab of oil at each moving pivot should be all it takes.

Doubling is a sign of a worn sear, trigger or hammer. Jamming is usually a dirty rifle or bad mags. A bath is most definitely the place to start. A change of ammo will help too.
Squires-Bingham m16-22's aren't high end rifles. Gunparts lists them under Armscor. Mind you, the parts and mags aren't exactly cheap. $38.80US for a mag. $13US for a sear. Not permits required for the parts or mags though.
