Fixing pinned magazines that get stuck and won't slide into place

Not sure if this is a gunsmithing question but I'm looking for some advice on making a pinned mag functional. I recently bought a few used 15 round pistol mags pinned to 10 rounds. Problem is the rivet sticks out just a little so the mags don't slide in to place - the rivet gets caught. I'm wondering how I can I fix this? Of course I'm concerned about messing with the rivet, cause if it falls out I have a prohibited item. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I've attached a pic to show the mags.

Get a riveter and some rivets.
Sand/file the installed rivets until the mag works as it should.
If the rivet falls out, insert a new rivet and use your riveter to install it.

You can buy countersunk rivets that have a flat head, I would just take a bit off the heads with a small file, till they go in.
As long as you don't take too much off, should be fine.

Thank you. I filed the rivets down and the mags now work perfectly. I had to file them right down though. I put electrical tape on the magazine next to the rivets when filling so that the file didn't damage the magazine. Hopefully the strength of the rivet is maintained and they don't break in the future. I'll post back here if I have a problem.

Do a web search for "dimpling for rivets".

It will allow you to install a countersunk River, without having to cut away material on the mag body to do so.
