Edit------Thanks for the help I ordered from True North arms…Range report below.

I wouldn’t call what I have a black or green rifle but the muzzle is threaded so figured I would ask about it here. I have a 110 Scout in .223 with 16” barrel threaded for 5/8 x 24. It is a loud little bastard and would like to find a long can flash hider just to bring the sound a little further away 4-5”. I dont want any holes or cuts in it and would prefer it as thin as possible I would like to continue using the iron sights. Can anyone suggest a Canadian retailer?

I really like using it but the rifle is wicked loud I need double ear protection. I recently bought a 24” 223 and it only need ear plugs so I would think the longer the better I will have to re measure the front sight to see how wide I can go.

Something like this- link broken

Thanks for the help. I got a hold of True North Arms. Like I said in the edit I wasn't getting a lot of help from google on this one.

Edit….call2arms……I went with the basic TNA can will let you know how it works.

I live pretty close to TNA so shipping is pretty quick. I just got back from the range and have some good things to say about the can. First off I was running the rifle without the brake as the one that came with it made the rifle insanely loud with concussion even felt my me shooting. I removed it and it was better but had a hell of a lot of flash but was not as loud. With the can installed there is no flash anymore and it seems like the sound is somewhat lower for me but still pretty loud I presume the extra 3” helped. It is doing what I wanted it to do and I am satisfied with my purchase. BTW its a 1/2” thread not 5/8.

I dunno is this a green rifle even though its FDE? Never shoot any poodles but the schnauzer next door is a mean little fella but likes chin rubs.

go to google.ca and after your first search results come back, click the "tools" tab on the far right and click (paraphrasing this part) "Canadian results only". Sticks to websites that identify themselves as domestic or sometimes shipping to Canada.

I find this solves a lot of my minor issues with getting results for some things

Cabela's Winnipeg had .308 flash cans in stock the last time I was in there. I put one on my Ruger American 7.62x39. Maybe not quieter when standing off to the side...but more pleasant to shoot.
