Good day eh.I was just cleaning up my #2 M14s and discovered that the whole flashhider is offset to the left not just the sight. The castle nut is pretty well flush on the right side of the hider. So i go and check #1 and it is opposite (hider to the right and nut just about flush on the left).

How are everyone elses?I know there have been issues with sights off set but wasn't sure about the flash hider.Guess its time to look for replacements.Any ideas?.Thanks guys

check to see that your barrel is index properly.....is the barrel straight in the receiver....that is likely your problem. The way I check is to strip the rifle down, with the rifle upside down, look from the back down the barrel. Use the two long sections of the bottom of the receiver to centre the barrel in the middle....is the gas system tilted to one side? If so, your barrel needs to be indexed properly....it is a common occurance with the Norincos....and thankfully it is a quick fix...

Cheers

Jeff

Thanks Jeff.If the indexing is off,one turns out the screw on the receiver and turns the barrel one way or the other right. What I'm talking about is right where the castle nut sits in the flash hider. You can see an actual offset of the castle nut to the hider and in my understanding indexing wouldn't change how the castle nut sits.
I'm in no way #####ing about this fine machine just bringing up obervations and way to re and re.Thanks
