Flash hider removal

I just got a stag 2L, I love the carabine but I'd like to change the flash hider to the A2. Here's the crunch my action block won't fit the upper as it a left handed upper. What is the best/safest way to clamp that upper in the vice?
I know there are barrel vice block but maybe I can do without them.

You should clamp the barrel not the upper to remove the FH, if you dont have barrel clamps just use a couple pieces of wood or aluminum, clamp as close to the FH as you can.

Make sure the FH isnt welded on or pinned first

FYI It's probably torqued on at 80ft-lbs - I had an RRA which was a pain to get off (no idea why they tighten them that tight).

It's about the size of a wheel lug ... seriously, post again after you've removed it.

Flash Hider Removed. It wasn't tightened that hard. 3/4 wrench and it came off no problem.
