What can I say, it's Chinese. Is there any way to go about bending the little bugger straight, or should I be looking for a new one? I'm fairly certain a fired round would not contact it, but once you notice things like that... they just keep bothering you.

Just how bad is it? A pic would help.

It's probably not a bend, per se. More likely the front and rear halves were not properly aligned when welded together. It's quite a stout device and I highly doubt you could successfully straighten it.

Where did you get it from? Marstar has a years warrentee.

I got it used, so I'm pretty sure the warranty is either void or expired. I think I'll try to bend it with all my available might until something breaks. At which point I'll be so enraged, I'll buy a new one.

You don't mention what sort of rifle this is, I'm assuming a M305.
Wasn't aware that these were made in two pieces, welded together.
If it is crooked, I would suspect that it is not bent, rather that the rear bearing surface with the locating splines was broached out of line with the axis of the unit.
If you are going to try to bend it, I would suggest that you consider the barrel - you would not want to bend it, and it is not particularly thick toward the muzzle.
Is the flashider removable? Replacement could be an option.
If it were mine, and I satisfied myself that there was an alignment problem, I would just bore the slotted front end so that it is true - coaxially aligned - with the bore of the barrel.

Must have been made by the same dude that crafted this one...

I had a slightly different problem.

Look at the centreline of the bore and compare that to the centreline of the sight mount pad.

You can also see a chunk of flash hider from the slots cut that is in the bullet path.

I Emailed about this problem and also about a magazine that had a manufacturing defect.

After the second email I was told to ship the mag back...there was no mention of the flashhider. I took this as an indication.

Didn't matter after I had the barrel chopped and put on an aftermarket FH on, but it sorta disappoints me that I had to do that.

That's one messed up FH!

Emailed who?

A scraped wrist, two broken screw drivers, and a lot of swearing later... I've managed to bend the bugger straight. Or at least straight. So it can be done, it's just not necessarily beneficial for your mental health.
