Has anyone found a GOOD quality flash hole deburring tool? I have the handheld one from Redding and it is piss poor to say the least. It does a horrible job, more of a burr mashing stick than anything.

Before switch to Lapua brass years ago i used to deburr the flash holes. Just use a regular drill bit larger than the flash hole but smaller than the neck of the case. A cordless drill held in a vice, drill bit up running at about 150-200 rpm. You just need to place the case lightly on the running drill bit and hold it tight enough to stop it from spinning. it does not take much to take the burrs off the flash hole.

I use the Lyman. Usuually I spin the case in the Lee zip trim and insert. I don't set the collar but just do it by feel. I also put tools like this in a Canadian Tire drill press and spin the tool while holding the case up to it.

I use a drill bit in my drill, mounted in a vice. I just touch the case to the drill and feel the roughness as the drill starts to take off the burr, then it gets smooth as it is gone. very quick and cheap.

I have also put the Lyman tool in the drill, but i think i prefer a drill bit.
