CBS Sunday Morning is usually a pretty good show and in fact is sort of the '60 Minutes' of the AM and they apparently have a big segment planned on the ethics practiced by hunters or something. Short notice, but I just found this out myself. If you miss it, maybe a streamed repeat can be found.

It's about Steve Rinella, the Meateater guy.

Edit: and OK, it was a lot shorter than I had hoped it would be, maybe 5-7 minutes. A you must eat what you kill and hunting preserves conservation funding sort of thing. More or less a false alarm.

But now I know that the MeatEater show is available on Netflix and I'll be checking that out, having dropped the Wild channel quite a while back.

I had Wild TV for a while until I discovered that for almost the same price, I could get IPTV that included WildTV on top of a handful other outdoors channels, plus about an additional 10000 channels both domestic and international. Every sports channel known to man and every PPV that is being offered. And when I say 10000, I’m likely underestimating that. My service breaks the bank at $15/month

Funny thing is with all these options, I probably only watch an hour of TV a week….and usually thats when Im trying to sleep so the TV watches me most of that time.

Most of the meateater stuff is on their youtube channel now as well and the newest season is (so far) only on their website

They have their new episodes free on their website.

Sportsman Channel - airs MeatEater drivel

Do you prefer the shows that push products instead? Brought to you by sleek boots, the only boots your sportsman needs! and brought to you by Federal, the best a man can get. Like meat eater is the best produced hunting show on the market and it's not riddled with advertisements narrated by an exaggerated announcer voice. Drivel it certainty is not.

Agreed.

MeatEater is the best outdoor/hunting show in existence. It's never about killing an animal, it's about going on the hunt. Some of the best episodes are when he doesn't shoot anything. Some of the best episodes are Kentucky Elk hunting

Eat what you kill is bull####. Gophers need to be shot. Crows need to be shot. Coyotes need to be shot. Feral cats in Australia and New Zealand need to be shot. Mice in your basement need to be trapped. Sure, you could eat them, but you certainly don't have to and anyone that tells you that it's unethical to shoot something and not eat is is an idiot that thinks they're better than you.

Want to shoot a deer and not eat the meat? You can donate it. Like I said to my brother a while back, if you can't give away elk meat to your friends, then you need better friends.

I would rather people said "kill what you eat". At least that serves to tie people to their food supply and doesn't allow them to divorce themselves from the process.

really wanna freak out anti hunters, remind them in most areas its illegal to poison or trap animals and technically that inlcude rats and mice. Tell them they're breaking the law if they kill.Mickey for chewing their wires and they need to call and pay a professional
