Flash suppressor installed on new Mini 14?

Has anyone had a flash suppressor installed on their new 580 series Mini 14 while retaining their front sight? If so, what kind of flash suppressor and where did you have it done?
 
I haven't done mine yet, but what my plan calls for is to remove the front sight, strip down the gun, chuck it into a lathe by the receiver, and mill back the front sight post about 1/4 of an inch, replace the front sight and mill in the pin slot, then thread the front portion of the barrel and install an AR 15 flash hider.
 
That is sorta what I was predicting too. I have heard tell that The Shooting Edge has gunsmiths that may have done this kind of thing in the past. Just FYI.

I'll have to look into that, but in my travels, Calgary is miles and miles out of my way. I may have to make a special trip.

For the flash hider, I'm just using an A2 style flash hider from a norc M4.
 
I have done them before. It is not too bad of a job except the existing sight was very tight and had to be pressed off after removing the pin of course.
