Flashhider removal on CanAm shorty...

I am eagerly awaiting my new shorty, but I was wondering if the hammer method works on these as well? I followed the YT video on my full length Norc and it worked well, but it doesn't appear that the shorty has enough room between the block and FH.

Anyone try this on the shorty yet?

I used a BFH and a steel punch and hammered mine off with no damage to the flash hider .I placed the punch at the base of the bayo lug.
Just remember to undue the allen screw and keep backing off the castle nut as the flashider slowly moves forward

I held mine with my legs and pounded it off with a punch no problem.

I removed the gas plug, unscrewed the gas lock, and swung everything out of the way. It gives you plenty of room to work, and lets you make sure your gas ports are clear while you're at it.

My FH assembly came off easy as pie.

It took three wallops on mine, but get a buddy to hold it in his lap while you hammer on it...after you use the above mentioned tips. It broke free so cleanly I didn't even have to file off any slag.
