I have shot a few matches with the range lights off. I used Harries and FBI. One or the other seems to cover most situations.
Be aware that the lubricant on a lead bullet makes a lot of smoke, and you are blind for a few seconds after a shot, until the smoke clears. The flashlight lights up the smoke. I now use plated bullets for night shooting. No smoke with the same load.
In one match the target turned and shined a flash light on me. In a dark room even a modest flashlight is blinding. If you have a good flashlight, it is a weapon in its own right.
