Hey guys, im just wondering if there are any flat style triggers floating around for the SKS ?

Yes I know "Nyet rifle is fine" but I want one lol.

Just get the MCarbo springs for the Sear and polish the 'rails' the sear runs on. Then I suggest Permatex Silicone (PTFE) grease on the Sear/Hammer point. the sear spring gets you down around 3# - you won't mind the OEM trigger.

Was curious about fitting a new trigger assembly/bottom metal that takes at trigger groups. With enough bubba attitude, some square tubing and a welder I’m sure anything is possible.

In the spirit of being crafty, I tend to think there are quite a few possibilities if one is so inclined.

Above mentioned was modifying the factory trigger. I think this is pretty easy by either flattening/shaping it (ie probably heat and hammering) or building it up (metal, epoxy, etc). Alternatively, one could also get a spare trigger and lobe off the lower portion and modify it to adapt a clamp-on trigger shoe.

Additionally, given that the trigger is pretty simplistic in design, it wouldn't be unreasonable to create a brand new one from barstock and some basic tooling and knowledge.

Post #5 is all that SKSs "Need" IMO. The 'style' of trigger can be modified with JB or a shoe if 'desirable', but I prefer the more 'open' T-guard. I do hate the 'safety' lever, keep pinching my finger there
