"Flex" 590A1 Marinecoat Shotgun/Case Combo...

I've seen this 590A1 Marine case/combo pop up at a few retailers... a little pricey. Anyone know if someone has just the shotgun for sale or the best price on the combo? I've been looking for a 590A1 Marine for a little while. Here's the ad if you haven't seen it:

Here's a Flex System animation for anyone who's new to it (like me). Anyone have experience with a Flex Mossberg - how do you like it? I'm willing to bet that the parts are expensive...

So I imagine the Flex adaptor could be fitted to the back of any 590 receiver? Same with the forend tube?
 
Just wondering if there is any play at those 'quick release' points. If it doesn't feel rock solid like a bolted on stock, it would be a huge negative for me.
 
Lovely looking bag. I haven't been overwhelmed by the quality of the furniture on my 590A1's. You could only hope they did a much better job with the FLEX system than what they've provided on their other products.
 
Here's the reply when I asked about 'any play in the quick releases of the Flex system' on the Mossberg forum, sounds like it's tight as a drum.

No play what so ever.
I'm sure if you didn't know it was detachable you could not tell.
It's on there just as good as a bolt on stock, even though it is a quick release.

I have the flex and love the ease of the interchanging parts. Mainly from 6position to std stock.
Not feeling the marinecote much, as I prefer a matte/blued finish. but that is a different forend than mine came with.
I do like the carry bag. Wish mine came with one but bought a std case for her though.

Looks awesome. I like the handguard, stock, takedown, marine Mossberg shotgun and has a nice case - has a lot going for it.

Yes there are many other great pump shotguns out there for cheaper, but we have to consider all the good qualities included in this package
 
Interesting.

If you buy (Do it ! Do it ! Do it !) then have a look to see if the flex adaptor is simply bolted onto the receiver?

The top mounted safety never bothered me when I went to a stock w/PG. Actually preferred the comfort and control of the stock, just have to move your hand out of position for a 1/2 second to actuate it. I'll take that trade-off for a stock that feels better to me.
