flinging casings

I was at the range today, and had some brass rounds, as the range doesnt allow mil surp, i had a bunch of my brass fly out into the range area with no way to get it, is there a way or a deflector so it doesnt go flinging everywhere? i have a russian 54 sks

Check out the SKS receiver mod, and gas tube mod.

Coles notes:

You grind the rear end of the ejection port of the receiver to 90 degrees, which should provide a more consistent direction of casings being ejected.

Drilling some specifically sized holes in your gas tube will help tame the violent ejection.

When using the search function don't forget to change the "Find Posts From" field from "A Week Ago" to a longer period of time.

Ahhh ok, thanks that really helps, i was mostly want to keep the brass and not have it flying everywhere infront of me and in my face cause they are damn hot.
