Hey all I just bought a 22Mag Savage 93 F. Love the gun. It has been a bunny assasin for me over the last few days. I was wondering if I should float the barrel. The barrel appears to be pretty heave and the stock seems to be in contact with it in a few spots. Is it worth floating and can the action take the stress of a floating barrel.

Thanks,

Having the stock in contact with the barrel should not be a problem with this caliber as long as those spots never change during shooting.

IMHO If She is shooting good now, then I'd leave it as is. :)

Hey I have a Savage 22mag as well and mine has a floating barrell on it. It shoots very accurate and i like it very much but im with Calum there if the gun is shooting straight i would keep it as it is.
good luck
