What's the consensus on this design?.
I know that Sako and Tikka have used it for years in their rifles, and there never seems to be much concern about it. The Savage Axis uses the same concept (although a little cheaper), and now I see the Winchester XPR is using this system too. I've read for years guys faulting the M700 because it only uses a "washer" for a recoil lug, and that it was goofy compared to the M70 or Browning flat bottom integrated reciever lug.
I personally have a hard time trusting the integrity of the floating lug design, thoughts?
