Flourescent lights and electronic scales

To damn fussy for me I have had 3 and always end up back on the balance scale. Keep a set of check weights around and I am set.

I found that the FM radio on my reloading bench screwed with my scale, is a a PACT model. When the radio is on the scale won't even calibrate. I have noticed a problem with the flourescent lights though. I find myself useing the balance for all powder work and save the electronic scale for sorting cast bullets by weight.

I have found that the magnets in my redding balance beam scale (or any other magnets within a few feet for that matter) and any air flow (eg. open window, fan in next room, etc...) will play with the electronic scales.

In lab class you could see the electromagnetic interference from the fluorescent lights on a oscilloscope. I believe that the older type ballast were worse than the newer higher frequency ones
