Fluting Xcr barrel

I have a Xcr in 223 with a heavy barrel was wondering if it would be worth getting it fluted to lighten it up abit, also what's the average cost? Would I be better off selling this barrel and finding a light weight profile?

Fluting is a great way to spend a bunch of money and get nothing for it. Buy a new barrel in the profile you want.

You can buy a thin barrel for it from Wolverine. Probably easier than having a gunsmith or someone to flute it.

Fluting a factory barrel is probably not a good idea there is a good chance bore dimensions will change , it may still shoot good or not there's one way to find out
