fmj for hunting

To the guys who think there isn't an animal on the planet that requires solids: Wrong.....period. Ever seen what 12" of hide or 4" of armor will do to a soft point?

Second: I would love to hunt deer with solids, MY hunting gun's unexpanded bullets make bigger holes than your 30's do when they are expanded.
 
"...I know that in Ontario..." As daft as it is, they're not illegal in Ontario. No mention of 'em in either the full hunting regs or Ontario's Fish and Game Act.

"...A hunting solid, is much different from a FMJ military round..." So is a commercial FMJ.
"...purpose was to wound...a Geneva convention idea..." Purpose was to reduce the massively ugly, wounds caused by lead bullets. The Hague Conventions, I think. Not that it matters which series of conventions it was.
 
the use of fmj ammo in the wars was indeed to reduce the number of people killed.that and wounded need people and resources to look after them a dead person can be looked after later and with less resources being tied up.
