Heard today that the USA is about to ban the export of all ammunition in any caliber loaded with a full metal jacket bullet or any bullet manufactured with a lead core . Not just common military ammo but everything . Don't know if it's a proposal at this time or if it's about to happen . Anybody hear the same thing ? Wouldn't 'lead core' eliminate just about everything ?

with that said, I see some canadian bullet manufacturers about to become millionairres overnight!

EDIT - All i can find in google is a ban on using lead bullets to hunt in california ..

Sounds to me like a bullet exporting ban is just a rumour.

Hello europe. Bring it on over by the ship load.

That would be one stupid move on their part. Export $$$ is good for an economy... especially an ailing one.

Lets get the whole story. Will the ban effect just loaded ammunition or components as well? Will the ban effect neighboring countries? Is the ban permanent or is it attached to a time frame? Is the ban attached to the UN proposed prohibition on the international trade of small arms? Many, many questions.
 
It's all an evil plot by Norinco to take over the Canadian firearms market. First cheap guns and then cheap bullets, those sneaky Chinese types.......
