That's much less than I thought it would be.

The FN-49 is one of my favourite guns in Battlefield V and it has me itching for the real deal now. Encouraging to know I might find one at relatively plebeian prices.

Perfectly fine ones, not minty though, are around $1,500 here on EE now. I saw one at $1,300 about a year ago.

You want to go even cheaper, get ex-Egyptian one in 7.92x57. Those are around $1000.

But they don't have out of battery safety, so firing pin needs to be replaced to 2 piece one and be completely dry of oil in the cold.

I've been gagging to get my hands on one of the Argentinian Naval 7.62mm NATO variant.....it's my dream rifle. Along with the BRN-10 Retro AR10 NR if they ever actually come in....

i've been looking at it for awhile. Add shipping, import fees and taxes. Will be about 2.4K CAD at the border.

But confirm FRT before importing, who knows if they have entry for 308 FN-49. Then you have to pay IRG so they can buy it for you from the dealer. PITA.

No it didn't look pristine but it will satisfy the itch until one that is comes along, if it comes along.

I have a Belgian model in .30-06 but it's far from mint. Gas piston spring at one point exploded and blew the top handguard off - old owner had to do a wood repair and order a new part. The finish is also quite worn but the bore is above average.

Phenomenal rifles. Glad you got yourself one, Mr. Wolverine!
