Hi Everyone,

I have been searching for a FN Browning Hi Power 9mm made by John Inglis company during the second world war between 1944 and 45.

The specific model is the No 2 Mk 1* Canadian version. This model has a serial number with a "T" as the second character, ie 4T2345. It will also have a decal on the front of the grip in gold with a maple leaf and Canada in english, chinese and russian. This is the same model adopted by the Canadian Forces and is still in use today.

If anyone knows where I can get one please get in touch.

the pistol you want is kinda rare in the open market that i know of. the cdn army has about 150,000 in stock and we are always looking for a reason to blr it at the shop so we can get a new one. the ones that are blr'd are sent to montreal and from there i think they are melted down after being stripped of parts. you should be able to find one made for china and if your lucky it might even have the shoulder stock and artillary sights on it. good luck on your search.

You probably know this, but in case you don't...These pistols appear not all the time, but fairly regularly. The Canadian version usually is not slotted for the shoulder stock/holster and has the fixed sight mounted on a hump at the rear of the slide. They rarely have the decal on the frontstrap, and those that do command a premium. Most have been arsenal refurbished and are in quite good shape. This design is a classic.

Yep. Inglis BHP's with the decal intact are collector grade pistols. Those are few and far between. They command serious money when the odd one does appear too.
Pistols without the decal appear from time to time. Usually, you have to be in the right place at the right time with money in hand. They sell quickly. The really odd thing is that they've never been released for civilian sale, despite the numbers of 'em around. Including the one in my safe.

"...Heres my sales thread..." Not everybody has access to the Exchange forum.
"...because I have..." Possibly. It's not a collector's piece with Hogue grips. Otherwise, condition is everything.
