Any of you gun nutz heard of the FN FiveSeven? The 5.7x28mm pistol? I've been interested in one of these for awhile, and believe me, If i was in the states this would be my carry gun, being as how lightweight it is and the capacity. But since I'm in canada we don't have those policies, so I have not purchased one... Yet.

I would just like to hear your guys' opinion on the brand/the pistol/ and any ammunition concerns...

Regarding ammo, I am an avid reloader, but as one knows you need brass to start, so I would be interested in buying a thousand or so to start. Have you heard of places to order online? I've been checking the sponsors on CGN but have had no luck finding anything for the FiveSeven.

Thanks
Ryan

Questar.

Ammo is expensive too. Not sure about reloading. I dont see any 5.7 die sets on Lee site. I wonder if .223 dies would work.

I thought reloading for the Five-Seven was a no-no that would void your warranty with FN because the factory ammo has a special coating? Also that it is a very high pressure round and bad reloading could be catastrophic? I remember people saying something to that effect in the thread about the Five-Seven kaboom a little while back

once Kevin M see's this he will help, he reloads for his P90, not sure if he has the 5seven though.

the brass does have a coating, but doesn't rub off with reloading, (well i assume that as it can be reloaded) i picked up 200 brass that i saw get fired and stupidly tumbled it.

I have redding dies for mine, I haven't reloaded yet as I bought 6000 rounds for it. A friend reloads for his P 90 with no problem

Interesting about the coating, I know reloading and shooting ammo voids 99% of all warrenties. But this coating is another factor. Would a reloader have to not tumble the brass, or perhaps find the coating to re-apply?

Neat video I just found
