Got a question regarding the FS2000 and it’s rail system. I’m looking at tossing the factory forend and installing a rail system but the rail systems made by FN have been discontinued and sold out. My question is would a rail system made for a FN branded F2000 air soft rifle work?

Thanks for any and all help

Your mileage may vary (and an airsoft version may be lighter) but I found the factory tri-rail made the rifle too front heavy.

This. You couldn't pay me to put one on. The fs2000 differs from most bullpups in the fact that the centre of gravity isn't as rearward as most other designs, so any additional forward mass will be exponentially noticeable.

Confirmed X3. The 'tri rail' forend that was found on the CQB version was absolute TRASH. I bought one to see how it would feel - wanna buy it? Heavy, sharp, nasty to hold and shoot.

Looks cool for about 5 seconds. And then you think...damn that curved plastic was SO much sleeker and nicer to hold. And then it goes in the parts bin. Don't.

I really liked the FS2000, or at least wanted to like it. It was a shame FN didn't continue to develop it.
The first thing they should have done is ditch that ridiculous tuna boat clam shell body and designed a sleeker, more ergonomic stock set.

I may be in the minority but I like the feel of the stock and find it quite comfortable myself. :)

It is a comfortable rifle to shoot, that's for sure. I found that with the exception of the mag release, the fire controls were good. The grip was ok for me, but I could see how the appeal is limited in this area. Overall I found it 'fat' and generally lacking in the areas of carrying and general manipulation.
