FN Rifles

Look how the lieberals screwed FN/FAL owners ... such rifles are now relegated to the safe.

How the fock is a Norinco M14 in the same caliber safe to use at the range and the hideous FN is a prohibited, high-powered ass-ault rifle that is not safe to use at the range???

When will this gross stupidity and discrimination end????

The only reason the FN FAL was restricted then pohibited is becouse the Canadian forces usd them & they didn't want FA parts ending up in civilian hands . Not that anybody in the military would take Gov issue items & sell them . Its kind of like the Norinco m14 is non restriced & the real M-14 is not . same gun but Norinco dose not have FA capibility .

I guess in

1995 when the final bannings were taking place the C7 had not yet been concieved?:jerkit:

Please, most the FAL's were on their way to Edmonton to be scrapped by then...The FAL got on the list for a variety of Wendy's warped beliefs. The Norinco reciever can be made into FA....as with just about every gun if you know what your doing

OK let this be the lieberal reasoning for the FN/FAL prohib status.

BUT ... what about SKS-D being less prohibited and dangerous than the AKS ... same focking thing ... I can take my SKS to the range but not my ass-ault AKS ... this is stupidity and deliberate discrimination.

Does anything the Lieberals did when it comes to guns amaze you? Be thankful we still have some.

Wow, nice hijack guys.

Your best bet would be to track one down stateside and have it imported.

contrary to popular belief, the REAL m-14 does NOT have full auto capability, but was issued at battalion level with a kit in a small baggie that was installed by the armorer , on a decision made at battaion command- it's that KIT that makes it full auto by holding the hammer hooks back , allowing the bolt to travel forward unimpeded by the sear-it consists of a spring, a lever, and a pin- moreover, the m14s imported into this country HAD THEIR CONNECTOR ASSEMBLIES ALTERED and welded shut so they couldn't go full auto unless you really know what you're doing and have access to spare parts( not just the baggie) - if you watched e-bay for a while when they handled gun parts, you would see them come up once in a while-
anyway, i digress- the VERY early norcs had much of the same parts- mechanically there is NO difference between an m14 and an early norc, just some of the parts don't do anything

Back to the FN Precision rifle, try MD Charlton - they are LE distributors for FN products, up to and including the Hecate system, I don't know if you'll need an end user cert though.

The current Justice Minister has the power to end this crap but hesitates to do so!

C-68 was written so never again would an new Firearms Act be need and gave the Minister incredible powers outside of parliamentary debate.

Write him and tell him what you think and why your support is conditional.

What part of HIJACK didn't you guys understand?

I'd be interested in getting one of FN's PBR XP's with the 20" barrel in .308. Probably be good competition for the LTR. I'd probably end up ditching the stock for a McMillan Marksman though. Just noticed that the barrels are 1/12", seems like a strange choice, of course if they are using machine gun barrels then I suppose it makes sense, just not for a tactical rifle.

Guess I should have been a little more clear on my topic - I was looking specifically at the A3G - but either way, I think I have my answer!

44/40

nope, you were pretty clear but unfortunately when it comes to FNs , members are very sensitive and they go in full auto right away, they dont read below the subject. :D
