I had a 3X ACOG TA33 on my first FS2000. I liked it--lightweight and with some magnification. The reticle did tend to go a little bright in full sun.
I had it in a Larue mount that was a bit lower than the factory ACOG mount.
On my current FS2000 I've got a 2 MOA Aimpoint Comp4S--I've shot this out to 300m with no problem. I had the scope before the rifle in the case--if I was buying new I would certainly look at a 2MOA Aimpoint Micro
The newer Elcans are better than the original in terms of weight and cheek weld but I think they'd be a little heavy but the do have excellent optics.
Here's an original Elcan on my first FS2000--too high for a more than 1.5 lb scope.
I do find that mounts for AR put the scope too high for my liking--that's what I like about the QRP mount on the Comp4S--it's got a removable spacer to get the scope down lower.
