Hope you don't mind me spending a little time around here with some of you from time to time. I've done some shooting with a Canuck or two - love your country, love your scenery. Plus I read Canada Free Press every day! lol :) I do, I really do.

Welcome to CGN!

The more time you spend on here, the more you will appreciate your gun rights. Unless you're in NJ, that is.

I'm a "Southern" southern neighbor y'all - South Carolina, deep south. We've got palm trees, catcus and palmetto trees down here out the kazoo. I come up y'all's way to see cold stuff. :) lol

No, seriously, you've got God's country up there. It's a pretty place. Never been anywhere in Canada that didn't have some impressive scenery nearby. Even Cheetah's Of Windsor has impressive scenery.

Went to the Canadian jump school in Petawawa. Spent some time around Edmonton on another liason trip as well. I think I heard at my last reunion that the Canadian Airborne Regiment had been disbanded after Somalia - if so, that's a shame because they were some hardcore troops. We partied like rock stars in Edmonton - that was a long time ago. Actually, I partied with those boys later in Belgium in '84 too during a joint NATO ARTEP mission there, along with the Brits, Germans and Belgiques. The French were no shows.

I've still got the wings and jacket and a t-shirt they gave me when I was up there. It has a Stag's head on it - I need to find that thing, it's packed away somewhere. Sort of like the old Scottish Highlanders' crest.

I've been up to Alberta twice since in all of these years - hunting both times, vendor perks that were paid for. And I drove to Lecuyer's four years ago. I'd like to hunt there again one day. I really liked that place. I will not drive next time though. It was a long trip even in a rented Winnebago, almost 1,800 miles one way.

Welcome to the board! Gun lovers are all members of the same family. We should have our own country and put all the pinko Left leaning types in their country somewhere up in the high arctic :D
