It is available... we can customer order one for you... they are in the FRT and classified as Non-Restricted.

Two versions... Light Fluted and Heavy Fluted... 20" barrel... @ $2,199.00

Delivery is normally 3 to 5 weeks.

I will start saving money. Are you going to pin magazines yourself? Which ones are available, 10 or 20 rds. ? I am surprised that with the scarcity of non restricted .308 rifles in Canada there is not more interest in this rifle. The reviews that I have read on the internet were favorable.

Both the 10 and 20 round versions are available... We'll have to arrange to pin/weld the magazines prior to entry to Canada... that's part of the price.

Excellent.
The reviews say that it is very accurate. On par with many bolt action rifles. The two main drawbacks that they mention are the relative difficulty of disassembling the rifle for cleaning and the FN recommending to send the rifle back to them for tune up after 2000 rounds. But they say that it has to be done to maintain the accuracy.

Good luck shipping it back to the States... that's a whole lot easier said than done.

Yes, it is the rifle in the link. With the price of .308 ammo I do not think I will be shipping it to FN very often.

It's pretty plastic-y in hand. I'm sure it's a great shooter though...I just played with one at a gun shop. I'll keep my m14s :)

FN does not show any calibre besides .308 so not sure where you got the info that they offered 300win...

I asked the mag question at the SHOT show and although it looks like a FN mag, they changed it so people can't use cheap FN mags, not really a smart business model in my opinion. It's a solid rifle, heavy though.
