Bringing this thread back up. I'm not a huge fan of the pistol grip version, but I'm liking this new "MATCH" Version in a McMillan stock very much:

I just bought one. I got the grip version and I'm really happy with it. Personally I like the grip more than the match. The match does have a nice charm to it. I'm probably a select few who actually like the way the grip looks.

Either way the FNAR is a great rifle. Its a shame how unknown it is. And cleaning the gas system isn't that difficult. The whole "send the rifle back to FN" is for the complete retard who doesn't now what a screw driver is. If you have a brain, you can field strip the FNAR.

No offence....

Isn't this just a dressed up BAR?

Is it the same action?

Because if it is $2200 is pretty steep?

Could you not buy a used or even NEW BAR, and rebarrel it or just cut an recrown the barrel, stick a rail on it, and pistol grip and same rifle?

An aftermarket barrel job cannot be more that $500?

I highly doubt that the FNAR would hold MOA on a 5 shot group consistantly and suspect a factory BAR would very close to the same accuracy.

What part of the story am I missing here???
