Anyone have any issues removing the barrel from the FNP-9 for cleaning? Having trouble getting it out because of its added length, but it had to go in somehow..

UPDATE: Problem has been resolved.

I know how to get the slide off, I cant slide the barrel out like he did because its slightly longer than the one he has.

Not sure if I should try to force this or what.

I don't understand the problem, maybe it's just me but isn't this pretty basic?

ill try to post a picture up tomorrow maybe it'll make more sense and maybe I'm missing something but as you said it is pretty basic.

When you move the barrel back a bit and pull up it should slide out like in that video. The barrel however is longer, I am able to tilt it up like he did to pull it out but because of the extra length it looks like It cant be tilted enough to slide out easily like it does for the gentlemen in the video.

I think I'm starting to understand. The top of the ejection port is getting caught on the base of the barrel, right? Where the calibre is stamped, correct? Are you able to tilt the barrel enough to push it forward towards the front sight?

The barrel can be pushed forward, move loosely back and fourth towards the front sight no problem. The problem is tilting the barrel to pull it out (towards the rear sight). The barrel cannot be tilted enough to clear the circled area in red. If i try to tilt it with a bit more force it pretty much gets stuck and wont slide out.

I'll try to get some better pictures tomorrow, the gun is in the safe and a family member happens to be sleeping in the room I don't want to wake anyone.

UPDATE:

I manged to get it out, needed to be bumped a bit its a really tight fit out more than I would feel comfortable (metal on metal) but not much I can do.

Problem resolved I guess.

Sorry if the advice I'm about to give sounds extremely stupid. To be completely honest I don't really know where to go with this.

You're removing the recoil guide rod assembly, right?

Can someone with a FNP-9 help this guy out?:bump:
