I have a chance to purchase a large number....10,000+...of foam trays that have been used once and are in excellent shape. They held 223 and 40 S&W but the trays of 50 hold 45 fine as well. The trays of 20 hold 308/30-06 fine. So what does everyone think, will they sell and what should I ask for them?

Thanks,

They still have to be put into another container to keep the rounds in.

The garbage cans at the range are full of them.

The shipping would far outweigh what you realistically could sell them for.

Fail.

;)

Simply unneccessary. Next time be a little more considerate of a legitimate question. Or atleast limit your opinion to something that is remotely relevant.

Midway, Stateside, sells a box of 425 of .223 calibre foam inserts for $88.99US. That's about 21 cents US each.
You have a place to store 10,000+ of 'em?

He asked for an opinion. I gave him mine. I stated why I thought those styrofoam trays would not be a great seller or a good business choice. And then, just to indicate that my opinion was just that, mine, I put a ;) at the end.

What was your post all about again?

Read Joe's sig line. He's blunt, but you know where he stands, and I haven't seen him lie. His post was answering the question, what is your's doing?

Chemist: I don't see any reason why you should be the guy who gets stuck with these things. Tell the guy who has them now he can keep them. I really can't see a market for them. I know I tossed all the ones I've ever gotten. For the price you'd be charging for such a small thing, you'd have to sell a lot to make any real $$$.

That's why I asked. I didn't think there would be must use for them but you never know until you ask.

I picked up a couple at the range the other day to use as cheap loading blocks but I left at least 15 or 20 in the can. I just can't use that many. With Canada Posts prices even if you sold them for a quarter it would probably cost 50c each to ship them out.

I agree with you 100%
We see garbage cans full of them along with the carboard the foam things came in. It probably comprises the largest part of the garbage at our range.. the packaging.
I would pass on the opportunity to purchase these foam things, unless you reload and want them for your own use.
my 2 cents.
