I did target shooting only, recently join a group of freinds start Trap/skeet and found it interested too. I have a tight budget hope can get a brand new or used good conditon around 1k for Trap/skeet only. I feel good and solid with 686/687 which borrowed from my friends, due to tons of hobbies so want an inexpensive to play around first.
1st, Stoeger price catch my eye and looking for their CONDOR COMPETITION. Any commend for this ? Meantime, I visit Le Baron, Toronto and check out the CONDOR today. Honestly, I don't feel good at all except for price point.
I do some research, heard Baikal, Verona etc have some good one. Which model and where can I take a look ?
Meantime, I heard Savage will also have O/U coming soon. Any idea ? Thanks a lot for any input :D

look on the exchange forum for some shot gun deals, and usually we shoot trap/skeet /w 2.75" shells but i guess most trap guns will chamber 2.75" or 3.00"

Check out the CZ-USA O/U. Outdoor Life mag gave it the gun of the year in it's review. Fo ~$1000CND at Wholesale...

Russian Toz-34 are around $250. People say good things about them for the money. Not sure where to get themnow, Armrus was the place but people say they're closed now, website is still up though?

armrus.com

Armrus in Montreal is apparently closed. So the Toz-34 is out.

Your best bet is to go with the Baikal IZH-27. They are built like tanks and have lots of good features (chokes, chrome barrels, single selective triggers, ejectors etc.) all for a modest price.

Parts are available. The importer is www.baikalcanada.com

All the best.

One downside to the more "Econo" brand guns will be lack of service and parts availability should something go wrong. I guess its a chance you take.

On the other hand, finding parts and service for an older used B-gun (Browning/Beretta) will be easy to find but the used b-gun will likely be twice as much as a brand new econo gun.

It all boils down to how it feels in your habd and how seroius you want to get about shooting clays.

Check out Fabarm. Their O/U field guns start at $1299. They have chrome lined bores, come with interchangeable choke tubes (which are cheap to replace or add to), 3" chambers are an option too. Great guns for a reasonable price.
