Follower problem

s&j 12ga green delrin follower gets stuck in the middle of mag tube. Wood dowel and couple good smacks with hammer needed to push it through. Can't load more than 1 shell in mag

Will reducing follower's OD create any problems?

As long as the shells don't get hung up in the mag tube.
Check for dings in the tube causing the follower getting stuck?
Could be years worth of crud stuck in there or heaven forbid, rust.
Polish up the inner tube and see what becomes of it.

Tube is clean and shiny, didn't see any dings inside. I will try to drop shells through empty mag tube and see if the come through with no problem.
