I have a CZ Shadow and I'm planning on getting a Bladetech DOH holster, based on the number of recommendations. I'm not sure what are the advantages / disadvantages of getting the Tek-Lok or SR Loop version. Just belt size? Based on the Tek-Lok or SR Loop, what would be some good mag pouch recommendations? This would be for an IPSC Production set-up. Thanks.

I'm told the Tek-lok lets the holster move too much during a draw. once your rig is setup there is really no need for the tek-lok anyhow, just leave it on the belt.

SR loop will allow you to adjust for your belt's width to eliminate unnecessary movement on the belt too.
CRSpeed pouches are the best along with CRSpeed belt. Get 5 pouches at once, I'm not sure what IPSC stages are like in Canada but USPSA may require 56-58 shots per. I once ran out of ammo with 6 mags and 58rds stage (had 4 pouches and a mag in pocket).

Just get the DOH belt loop with it,...not the tek-lok. I had it and sometimes it flexed or twisted onthe belt during the draw. IT did this regularly until I replaced the piece with a regular belt loop.

I have to disagree. The tek-lock can be adjusted to fit a regular belt, or a duty belt. I do have some movement on the draw with a regular belt, but that is the belt moving, not the holster. With the duty belt, there is no movement. The advantage of the tek-lock for me is that I can easily remove it from my duty belt without having to take the buckles off the belt. Not a huge benefit, but this past shoot someone didn't have a holster for their gun, and I could easily take the holster on and off to share it with them without taking my belt off.

that is the attractiveness of the tek-lok system. Easy to take off and on. I used it for a backup. IT snagged more with the slightly longer Limited Custom than my Stock2. BUT, physically the way the belt attachment goes on the belt it makes it more stable, it spreads out the contact points as it is wider/longer. the Tek lok attachment on the other hand is narrow hence the movement. To each his own.

actually, if JPD (Zaitsev) reads this (he religiously uses the Bladetech only), maybe he has had experience with the Tek-lok and would be a good person to ask.

I see, I didn't realize that the SR Loop was adjustable. Based on the picture on their website, it looked like the SR loop could only accommodate one standard belt size and nothing larger or smaller. Thanks for the recommendation on the mag pouches, I was aware of the CRspeed belt but not their mag pouches.

That's what I was trying to say, anyway :)
As far as removing holster from the belt - if you get CRSpeed belt, the holster attaches to the outer portion of the belt an you can leave it there for good. the belt is two pieces where outer is attached to the inner by velcro and is removable, no you won't loose your pants if you remove just the outer piece :D
