For Supercub and the other jerk-o-matic fans

I really hate to admit it, but one of my buddies thinks that is a hellava sharp looking shootin' iron  He loves that wood and the lighter the better  (we really do need a puking smilie don't we)

No offense to Remington owners - where I come from that "shade" is visible on Bats made for playing Cricket......all that rifle needs is a thicker bbl to resemble a bat handle :)

Or on a guitar fretboard. Maple gives a nice tone.

Or have it stabilized and buck it up for knife scales.

I'm not sold on anyone's Centennial model. I think I'll just have to buy a new30-06 and it can be my centennial model.

I really like maple for furniture, but for a stock, there is to much contrast with the dark metal (and the blacked out checkering). I think it would probably look Ok in maple/stainless, similar to the BLR in laminate/stainless ( the only BLR that I don't find ugly).

i really like blonde stocks mainly because you don't see them very often but that is damn ugly!!!! the finnish and brown PAINT on my winnie 94 was horrable so i sanded it down to bare wood and just used tru oil to finnish and i think i looks great
