Here is one for you from my collection. It is a really rare M96 rifle to own. This rifle is one of few ever to miss all modifications to the M96.
It was issued to F16 (Flygflottilj 16 which is Air Force Station16 in Uppsala, Sweden.) The rifle is all matching and 100% original in all manner.
This Air Force Unit was a fighter Wing activated in early 1926. It seems these rifles were only for back up at the Guard House. Pistols seemed to be the main arm carried. So it is said in places. This rifle apparently sat some where until it was turned in for export to US. It shows little sign of use at all. The disk is the old two screw pattern and made of steel. As it should be. Below the Unit Number is the rifle or rack number, which ever it may be. But the rifle is #1. I hope you guys enjoy the pictures of this one. Notice the pic of the rear sight, it is the original V. The front blade is the original inverted V. Many collectors have never seen this before. But I am sure there are probably a hand full in North America. You may have more in Canada. If anyone does it will be Buffdog.
