hey,

A few people commented on the fact that I really stayed away from the pool area, where lots of IPSC people were fooling around... The reason is very simple: I have a perforated eardrum, leaving me suspectable to ear infections. Given the tendency of some of the people to take whomever they saw and throw them into the pool, I really didn't want to risk an ear infection because someone would think it'd be funny to see me in the pool I didn't want to bet my health on the ability to explain WHY I didn't want to be in the pool, in the heat of a struggle at the pool's edge

We were going to, but then he explained the situation to us. We left him alone after that. Same with Kent and Madness.

We had a tonne of fun in the pool. My chest is still sore.

The poolside antics were awesome and a great way to get to know folks that I didn't know very well before.

It turned out that some of us ended up heading out as drinking partners afterward. I think some great friendships were started at these Nationals especially during the off range play.

You guys from BC are a riot and I'm looking forward to next year on your turf.

As for what happened with Omen, I'm glad the guys took the time to listen to him. I wouldn't want to see someone get injured. For all the crazy stuff we were up to there was still some responsibility involved.

Speaking as a short fat guy it is amazing How a group of Men of Various sizes can gather around the pool with only thought being how can I make a bigger wave then anybody else. What a great time. Great end to HOT Hot Hot week.
