I did a field strip on it last night, wiped up the oils and gunk and applied my frog lube and oils to the necessary parts.

While racking the slide, I found that it wasn't a clean slide to the open position. It seemed as there was a little bit of friction at the halfway point. I also noticed when I racked the slide back it was getting stuck open. I did see a video on youtube of a guy who had the same problem.

So for those who have bought a .22 from S&W...have you tried racking your slide...did you have the same problem?

Have you shot it yet? I had a Gen 3 Glock with a similar issue. 300 rounds sorted that issue out. It may just need to be smoothed out by a break in.

I haven't taken it to the range yet. I'm still waiting on my ATT. Once I get that, the .22 is going to see a lot of action

I have about 2000 rounds through mine now and the only issue ive had is one FTE. That was because I hadn't cleaned it yet. Lots of build up shooting Blazers. Runs smooth now. It never had a gritty feel to the slide.
