Call the special Winchester Model 100 Recall number at 1-800-852-5734 and CALL NOW. When you finally get through, and it took me about 1/2 a day, they can tell you over the phone if the repair has been done. Have your serial number ready and that's all you need.

Another gentleman from Florida just asked me the same thing because his father's Model 100 in .308 just blew up in his face this past weekend! No serious injuries but he sent me digital pictures and it was not pretty.

There is someone keeping tract of that stuff? I thought that would be long gone since the plant that manufactured the 100 is long closed.
