Forarm nose cap ID????

I'm at a loss, figured maybe someone here in gunsmithing can ID this nose cap. Was doing some cleaning up and came across it, I know I've never owned whatever it fits. Thanks for any help.

Well it might be, the fact that I own nothing on the semi auto platform might have something to do with it.

Wow, that was pretty close but this one wraps up along the sides of the barrel.

Whats the diameter of the round piece sticking out of the back ? whats the size of the hole the barrel fits through? is it potmetal ?

The bottom hole looks like it's for a cleaning rod, which would probably make the rifle military, or a copy thereof, but I've no idea what one.
