I have a Mod. 24 in 30-06 and so far its ok, probably no more or no less accurate than any of my other '06s.
Scoped its just over 6 lbs., nice to pack for that reason which is why I wanted it.
Feed and function are ok, a bit stiff at first but seems to be getting smoother with use.
I do not like the finish, whatever they call that phosphate on the action and barrel because it seems to mark too easily, for that reason the rifle will have a beat-up look after the first hunting season.... I'm thinking. One can always have it refinished if need be.
Its about as plain as a rifle can be and I'm just fine with that.... others might not be.
As far as I'm concerned its a perfect working rifle nothing more, nothing less. A plain ordinary rifle will kill game just as dead as a gussied -up fancy show piece.
