Forcing cone

the forcing cone on my revolver gets a buildup of lead after fifty or sixty shots and I would like to know if there is a home remedy for polishing the cone?

Read that some brass/copper scouring pad material, DO NOT USE STEEL, wrapped around cleaning rod & twisted into forcing cone works well. Removes lead deposits & doesn't harm cone. A bit less pad material & pulled through bore does a good job of lead removal. I've used a Lewis Lead Remover for several years with same results.
You may want to check the timing if there seems to be more lead on one side or if the gun's "spitting".
