Forend rails - where to buy?

Where does one find a supply of "forend rail" for retrofitting to older rifles (repairs) or adding to new sporters that don't have it? Brownells doesn't appear to have it, unless its called something else.

Its the rail you'd find on a sporting, free or 3-p rifle and is used to attach palm rests, handstops, bipods etc.

No. Similar, but an internally boxed (think t-slot) rail; fit flush or inlet into the wood stock, not bolted to it. More concave, not convex like a Picatinny.

It allows the accessories to be slid to the desire position on the rail, and you tighten a screw to hold them in position. Good for sliding a palm rest or sling swivel to the exact position you want it.

It's called an anschutz style accessory rail. As skeetgunner was saying, it's meant primarily for attaching hand stops and sling mounts for target shooting. Though there are adaptors for bipods like the rempel ski bipod, weights, and other such things.
