Forend replacement question (870)

I picked up the Knoxx Compstock for my Norinclone 870. The buttstock went on easy enough. However, sitting here looking at the forend, I'm asking myself "Why!", as in why bother replacing it. The factory Norinco part looks fine. Yes, it sits further back than the replacement. However, I've got a 4 shot SideSaddle installed, and have no intention of getting a 6 round.


Is there any good reason to swap out this part, or am I wise to simply leave it alone???

The only reason that I switched to a shorter forend was because I prefer the look of the speedfeed LE forend and to clear a 6 shell sidesaddle. If you're happy with your setup then leave it as is.
