Forged or cast

Hi, i didnt found anywhere clearly how to know if i have a forged or casted receiver... is there something to look for on the rifle? I know de difference for forged vs mim bolt but for the receiver... by the serial number it seems to be of 2013

forged is arguably stronger but that doesn't seem to to be an issue in real life.

Post some pictures and let us see.

The casted ones seem to have an orange peel texture, edges that seem a bit rounded (particularly around the bolt release) and a mold split line down the middle of the heel that may or may not be machined off completely

Thanks for the infos, looks like i have a forged milled receiver, my bolt too is forged.
