The Internet is quite the invention. :roll:

This picture has spawned a host of UNTRUE stories, kind of like the pics of the huge brown bear shot by the American airman on Hinchinbrooke Island, Alaska a few years back............you know, the one full of human remains (NOT) and the one that had stalked the hunter (NOT) and the one that was shot with various rifles and cartridges (JUST ONE) etc etc etc...

That snake was in South Africa, and it is quite dead. It was NOT set free by a bunch of Australian troops, who by the way are damned fine troops but don't do snake patrols in South Africa.

South Africa or South Australia ,dosen't matter ,it is still one big snake . The only good snake is an old pair of boots.

I would have tickled it, then called it bad names, then said a few things about it's momma, then I woulda gone into great detail about how ugly he was, then asked what he was gonna do about it, then walked away. Never get another chance at that.

Yes the only good snake other than a garter snake that eats mice, is already made into boots for Arnold's girlie men to wear............
