Im getting to the end of my .17 fireball brass. I have a couple hundred peices of Remington head stamp .221 fireball brass and am wondering what the best way is to neck it down to .17 cal. I tried running a couple pieces through an RCBS seating die with plunger out, then FL size but a number of them had crushed shoulders. Should I just ne more delicate? Or is there a better way? Currently I have a Redding Deluxe 3 die set and an RCBS FL set of dies. Should I buckle down and buy the Redding 221 to 17 form die?

Thanks for the input!!

I use a 20vartarg fl die to neck to 20 cal, and then carefully run it through the 17fb fl die, rotating the case 180 degrees half way through the stroke. Using Imperial sizing wax, I have no issues.

I’ve been looking at getting one of these from bullberry for making 17hornet. Should work for fireball as well.

Interesting, Ive never seen these until now. What would they cost and would they ship to Canada? Maybe it's cheaper than the $200+++ it'll take to get redding dies into Canada....

$45USD plus conversion and shipping. I haven’t ordered on myself but would like to. I would think if they won’t ship then a guy could go through one of the importers on this site. Certainly should be less than $200.
