what do ya think guys, the dimensions in the books say it will work. has anybody tried it?

i am loading for my father in law's bubba p-13 chambered to 311 norma mag, which uses 308 norma mag brass. the brass he has is crushing at the shoulder when i seat bullets...........i say worn out. i cant seem to find a source for 308 norma mag brass. got lotsa 300 win brass!

thanks for your thoughts.......especially if you have tried it.........Daryll

Yes you just have lots to trim. I make my 358 Norma from 300 win brass. I find necking 338 win up leaves a shorter neck. Just my personal preference.
As far as crushing the shoulder make sure you have a 303 [311] expander plug and not a 30 caliber [308] one

i've loaded for himfor 10 years now, every couple years, and never had problems ontil the last couple times. the expander is correct at .3105, according to rcbs.

thanks, i'm gonna try some in a couple days.

I have been making 308 Norma brass from 300 Win Mag for decades. Works great, and trims up to proper length. Use new Winchester brass for best results. Do not put any lube on the neck/shoulder area. I do NOT like making the 308 Norma from 338 brass or 7mm mag brass, as one ends up with cases considerably short of minimum specs. Eagleye.

thanks guys

i tried one of each 7mm, 300, and 338. liked the 300 best. ended up useing 7mm mag brass though as i had 200 new remington on hand. they did end up being a little short in the neck, but still hold the bullet fine, after all this is a bubba huntin rig, not a competition benchrest gun.

thanks all fir the input. ...Daryll
