Have a used Forster Co Ax in top condition from an estate. It's been sitting under a work bench for a couple years now. Wondering on a fair asking price for same.
Thanks.

$400 is what I have seen them sell for. Not asking price. Double it with a sleeve of primers, kidding.

The press is currently selling for $665 with the S jaws.
The LS jaws sell for another $53.
These prices are before taxes.

If it’s in mint shape take 20% off and you get $530
If you take 25% off the current selling price you go to $500

I have one with the "S" jaws that I no longer use would not even consider selling it for less than $500 excluding shipping

the only thing missing on the one I have is the plastic spent primer container - from the beginning I went to Princess Auto and attached a 24 inch clear hose to the primer tube the primers went straight into the garbage - I do not think that a 10$ primer catcher jar would devalue my press by 150$

The price you are going to get for that press will depend on the bits that come with it in the box.

I often see these presses missing the shell head holder jaws or the expended primer drop tube and bottle.

The shell head holder jaws can be difficult to get and aren't cheap.

The $400 evaluation seems to be the going asking price for an excellent condition Forster press with all of its bits intact at most gun shows. Most of them go out the door at $300+.

Emotional attachment has no value.

I just bought one from a very good CNG'er, did a lot of shopping around and $500 plus shipping is a fair price.
You can get a new one from Brownells with all shipping and taxes it would be approximately $650 cnd.

Thanks to all. The press was unbolted from the bench by me and was in use the day before. Only changes I made was to remove the installed shell holder and die.
Priming station only has the holder for large primers. Spent primer drop tube and bottle are present though I think the bottle may have originally been a urine sample bottle.
It's on the EE now.
