Get the Forster Field gauge in SAAMI .070".

Or contact member Gairlochian via pmail and get his .074" military spec Field gauge.

I have both and use both.

I would read up on SAMI specs and military specs. They gauges are good and a must. You can save allot of brass and ammo having good headspace.

I have military .064 and .074 gauges. They are useful.
If I were buying only one gauge, it would be a SAAMI Field gauge.
Have also made .303 gauges, easy enough with a lathe.
There is also a design for an adjustable gauge that can be used to actually measure the headspace. It is basically a Go, with an adjustable plunger which protrudes from the head. By measuring the protrusion, the actual measurement from barrel face to bolt face can be determined.
